ORMOND BEACH, Fla. – An Ormond Beach man was arrested on Tuesday after deputies said he threatened to shoot three landscaping workers outside of his home, according to the Volusia Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said they responded to a home along Brooks Drive shortly before 10 a.m. after receiving reports about the man brandishing a firearm, though he reportedly left before deputies got there.

Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the three victims, who were standing by their landscaping truck, deputies added.
In an arrest affidavit, investigators said they discovered that the man — identified as Charles Calhoun, 66 — had come out of his home nearby and yelled, “Get the (expletive) out of my driveway” at the workers.

An argument ensued, leading to Calhoun pulling a handgun from his waistband and pointing it at each of the three workers, the affidavit says.
According to the affidavit, the workers agreed to move their truck, and Calhoun walked back to his own truck and drove around the block a couple of times, giving a “thumbs up” to the victims each time he passed by.
Deputies said they later found Calhoun after he returned home, and he told detectives that he was sorry for his actions.
He was arrested and faces three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was released the next day on a bond of $45,000.
