SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. – The Lake Mary-Heathrow Festival of the Arts is gearing up for its 37th annual celebration of fine arts.
The two-day festival this Saturday and Sunday is dedicated to supporting aspiring artists from the Seminole County School District through scholarships funded by festival proceeds, sponsorships, and donations, according to Lake Mary-Heathrow’s website.

The festival will host a juried show, featuring national and international artists and contemporary craftsmen while raising scholarship money for graduating Seminole County High School students.
Twelve arts scholarship awards of $1,000 will be awarded to one graduate from each of Seminole County’s nine high school programs, the release said.
Seminole County youth will be featured, showcasing “hundreds of phenomenal student artworks,” according to a release.
The festival aims to “stimulate, energize, and foster pride within the local economy, encourage involvement within Seminole County, entertain our guests, and celebrate the arts,” event organizers said.

Festival Location, Details
The festival will take place at 950 Market Promenade Avenue in Lake Mary. To reach the venue, take Exit 101 - 46A for Heathrow (West) toward International Parkway.
The festival’s hours are set for Saturday, March 2, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, March 3, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Festivalgoers can explore several streets lined with businesses, boutique shops, pubs and restaurants, according to event organizers.
The Lake Mary-Heathrow Festival of the Arts invites all artists to join the celebration, promising a vibrant showcase of talent, a diverse array of art forms and an opportunity to contribute to the support of artists in the Seminole County School District.
Juried Artist Awards, Prizes
The festival has an array of juried artist awards, totaling over $11,000 in prize money, according to the website.
Awards include Best of Show, the Tony Senador Award, Award of Excellence, 2D Juror’s Choice, 3D Juror’s Choice, and Award of Distinction. These awards are determined by three independent judges using a 1-10 scoring scale.
