‘Larger than life:’ Monster Jam trucks roll into Orlando

‘Controlled chaos’ Saturday at Camping World Stadium

ORLANDO, Fla. – Final preps are happening at Camping World Stadium as crews are getting ready for Monster Jam’s return to Orlando.

During a preview event Friday, News 6 got an up-close look at some of the most famous trucks in motorsports.

Todd LeDuc is the driver of Megladon and described what it’s like being behind the wheel of the 12,000-pound truck.

“It’s larger than life. The tires weigh 800 pounds each,” LeDuc said. “Oh, it’s controlled chaos. I don’t know how else to explain it. It’s a lot of fun.”

More than 60,000 fans are expected to attend the event as a field of 12 monster trucks push the limit in skills, racing and freestyle competitions.

“There’s just no better feeling than flying upside down and looking at the crowd upside down cheering, it’s cool,” LeDuc said.

During Saturday’s event, there will be a pit party from 2:30-5:30 p.m. The main event begins at 7 p.m.

Tickets for Monster Jam can be purchased at Monster Jam’s website.
