“It (India) can be inspiring to savor just a taste of that richness when it is reflected in so many ways - through food, music and dance, clothing and jewelry, even in the spiritual and yoga art. The general consensus is that the festival is very informative, educational, highly entertaining, and is a very well-run festival with all the right ingredients,” the event’s website reads.
There will be a fashion show, music, henna, an Indian cooking demo and cultural shows for both days of the festivities.
“The highlight of the stage event is the fashion show. Our local beauties become models and take to the runway in colorful traditional Indian outfits. As they move to the toe-tapping beats of exciting Bollywood tunes, the audience will get a glimpse of the transition from traditional Indian fashion to today’s hip and more modern garb,” organizers said.
Tickets range from $4 to $8 online.
