CLERMONT, Fla. – Police are asking the public to help identify a person of interest after a loaded gun was allegedly stolen from a car in Clermont.

The burglary occurred around 1:13 a.m. Friday, March 1, in the 300 block of Division Street, the police department said on social media.

Surveillance video shared by the Clermont Police Department shows the person of interest — dressed in dark clothing, pictured at the top of this story — attempt to open the driver door of a vehicle parked in a driveway before walking off. The post did not specify whether the vehicle shown in the video was what the gun was stolen from.

The post advised that the person of interest should be considered armed and dangerous, warning that they should not be approached if seen.
