ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Deputies with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office are investigating after a road rage incident ended with shots fired over the weekend.
It happened near Town Center Boulevard and Hunters Creek Boulevard before 5 p.m. on Saturday.
Patty Hill told News 6 her husband was on his way home from work when he was shot in the shoulder.
“I heard him come in yelling, and he never yells,” Hill said. “I didn’t know what was going on. I couldn’t understand him, so I came out, and his shirt was just full of blood, and he told me he was shot.”

Hill said it was shocking. Her husband told her he first encountered the other driver near Town Center Boulevard and Town Loop Boulevard. Hill said her husband changed lanes in front of him.
“He looked in his mirror. He didn’t see anybody,” said Hill. “But I guess the guy wanted to get into the left lane, too, and he got upset that my husband was kind of in his way.”
Hill said both men ended up stopped at a red light at Hunters Creek Boulevard, near Osprey Park.
“Once they reached the stoplight, there were seven rapid shots fired,” Hill said.
Hill’s family shared photos of the damage to her husband’s car. She said he was shot in his shoulder, and thankfully, his injuries are not worse.
“He almost took my husband’s life. If not for the grace of God, I could be planning his funeral right now,” said Hill.
News 6 reached out to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office to request a report and more information.
A spokesperson said both men involved are cooperating with their ongoing investigation. The agency also shared that both parties had guns.
At this point, no arrests have been made.
