ORLANDO, Fla. – JetBlue is cutting several routes across the U.S., including at Orlando International Airport, to reduce delays and costs.
The airline said it is cutting its route from Orlando to Salt Lake City, along with 15 others, starting in June.

According to CBS News, here are the following routes being cut:
- Orlando to Salt Lake City, Utah.
- Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, to Tampa, Florida.
- Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to Atlanta, Georgia.
- Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to Austin, Texas.
- Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to Nashville, Tennessee.
- Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to New Orleans, Louisiana.
- Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to Salt Lake City, Utah.
- Los Angeles to Cancun, Mexico.
- Los Angeles to Las Vegas.
- Los Angeles to Liberia.
- Los Angeles to Miami.
- Los Angeles to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
- Los Angeles to Reno, Nevada.
- Los Angeles to San Francisco.
- Los Angeles to Seattle.
- New York/JFK to Detroit.
The changes will also help the airline cope with the grounding of some of its planes for inspections of their Pratt & Whitney engines, an executive told employees Tuesday.
JetBlue is also pulling out of Kansas City, Missouri; Bogota, Colombia; Quito, Ecuador; and Lima, Peru, altogether.
“These markets are unprofitable and our aircraft time can be better utilized elsewhere,” Dave Jehn, the airline’s vice president of network planning, said in a memo to employees.
JetBlue has lost more than $2 billion since its last profitable year, 2019. The airline tried to grow through a partnership and a merger, but the Biden administration’s Justice Department sued to kill both deals.
