OCALA, Fla. – Police in Ocala spent their Sunday morning corralling a horse after chasing it briefly along State Road 200.
Around 4:30 a.m., a large horse reportedly greeted an officer who was parked at an Ollie’s Bargain Outlet to write a report, the police department said on social media.

In a video set to a rendition of Rossini’s “William Tell Overture,” the horse can be seen walking among police cruisers and trotting away from pursuing officers down SR-200.

The post — tagged #HorseCapitalOfTheWorld — states the animal was eventually and safely corralled in the local College of Central Florida parking lot.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Office Agricultural Unit responded with a trailer to take the horse “to more suitable pastures,” police said. An update to the post stated the horse’s owner was later identified and the two were reunited.
