TITUSVILLE, Fla. – An SUV was shot Saturday night as it was driven through Titusville, police said, adding the vehicle was carrying two juveniles and an infant at the time it was hit.
Officers responded around 10:30 p.m. to the reported shooting near the intersection of South DeLeon Avenue and W.C. Stafford Street, a news release states.

Three adults, two juveniles and an infant were riding in the 2024 Hyundai Tuscon SUV that police said was shot, its occupants reporting the sound of multiple loud “thumps” as it happened.
One of the adult passengers was struck by bullet-related debris and was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the news release. No other injuries were reported.
The vehicle was targeted and struck with multiple firearm rounds from an unidentified suspect or suspects who likely fired from the area east of DeLeon Avenue and north of W.C. Stafford Street, running away before law enforcement arrived, the news release states. Detectives believe the incident was isolated.
