LEESBURG, Fla. – When you’re a business in Florida, you never know who — or what — may ask for service.

Take the Addition Financial Credit Union on U.S. 441 in Leesburg last week. A spokesperson for the company shared pictures and video of an alligator pulling up to the branch drive-thru.

“As it turns out, the scaly surprise visitor did not have an account with us, and eventually moved on without incident,” said the spokesperson.

The branch is not far from several bodies of water, including the Lake Harris Conservation Area and Lake Griffin.

As we’ve noted in recent weeks, alligator mating season is underway in Florida, and that means gator sightings will be more common, especially near bodies of water.

We have information on how to reduce the risk of alligator attacks and how to train your dog to avoid dangerous wildlife, here on ClickOrlando.com.
