WKMG hit the road to Montverde for a live broadcast highlighting the stories people in the town told us they wanted us to focus on.
Those stories covered everything from growth, to conservation, dirty water, creating community and the people helping to get results.
Montverde’s Mayor, Town Manager and commissioners along with leaders from Lake County and Montverde Academy also joined News 6 to help amplify the stories impacting Montverde.
The owner of the popular restaurant, Willie’s Bar-B-Que, also joined News 6 with a taste of his famous ribs. The community all cheered when Willie Fulmore shared that the rumors of his retirement were false and that his restaurant would not be closing anytime soon.
The crowd also got an extra dose of excitement when the Lake Minneola High School Pep Band performed an original song.
