IABA holds many events throughout the year promoting Indian culture and business.

With over 3,000 members, IABA represents business owners, doctors, lawyers, engineers and entrepreneurs.

Patel also says, “The Indian American diaspora is very entrepreneurial, family oriented, and we are backed by diverse and rich culture and heritage of India.”

To celebrate Asian American Pacific Islander heritage month, they are having a Women’s Empowerment Conference on May 31. Women of Indian heritage have been making their mark in America, with the success of women like Vice President Kamala Harris who says, “When you are a role model, it means people watch what you do.”

Former US Ambassador to the United Nations and former Republican Presidential candidate Nikki Haley is also Indian American.

Ritika Singh Ghosh is one of the panelists.

She is the successful owner of VIO Med Spa in downtown Orlando, who told News 6 “I’m actually from India, I’m actually an immigrant and I finally feel seen, so this panel is helping me educate everybody else about my journey here.”

Patel says they welcome people of all cultures to IABA events.

“We’ll be serving Indian food there so you will have a great experience, comradery and culinary experience of Indian culture and heritage as well.”
