It is expected to open June 14, according to Ivanhoe Park Brewing Co. founder Glenn Closson.

This will be the brand’s second brewery to open, with the other located at 1300 Alden Road.

This expansion was due in part to it buying out select assets of Orlando-based Deadwords Brewing Company, which closed its brewpub in April.

The Deadwords Brewing bar was operating where the lager house will be located. Closson said it will pay homage to the closed brewery and keep its legacy alive.

“We are committed to preserving the spirit of Deadwords Brewing Company and upholding the values and traditions they established while bringing our innovations to the table,” Closson said in a previously prepared statement.

Ivanhoe Park Lager House will have some differences to its original location, Closson said. It will have space to host more events and offer a better wine selection, as well as a full kitchen to eventually offer dinner, he said.
