“They’re the greatest hits from Hollywood, everything from ‘Over the Rainbow’ from Wizard of Oz to ‘This is Me’ from The Greatest Showman, music from Star Wars, you name it. We’re gonna pack a gorgeous concert hall with people from right here in our community,” he said.
The local choir is made up of 300 singers, a 50-piece orchestra, plus dancers. It’s a family affair for Johnson who has been singing with the choir for about eight years.
“It’s amazing. It’s like one big, happy family, community. I’ve been with the choir now since 2016. I actually joined because I went and saw my cousin in their Christmas show,” Johnson said.
