ORLANDO, Fla. – On Tuesday, Publix announced that several of its pies were awarded blue ribbons at the 2024 American Pie Council Pie Championships in Orlando.
In a release, Publix officials reported that the grocery chain’s bakery competed in the 6- and 9-inch categories of the commercial division.

Eight of Publix’s pies managed to take home blue ribbons in the competition — five 6-inch pies and three 9-inch pies.
“Our pies have competed in the National Pie Championships since 2001 and have brought home blue ribbons every year since then,” the release reads. “To celebrate this year’s accomplishment, our blue-ribbon-winning pies will have a special sticker on the packaging.”
The winning pies this year were as follows:
- No Sugar Added Apple Pie — 6 inches
- Apple Pie — 6 inches
- Cherry Pie — 6 inches
- Original Key Lime Pie — 6 inches
- Mango Key Lime Pie — 6 inches
- Cherry Pie — 9 inches
- Original Key Lime Pie — 9 inches
- Mango Key Lime Pie — 9 inches
