Alexzander Robles, 18 (Volusia County Sheriff's Office)

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. – Two people have been arrested in a string of car break-ins that’s so far seen multiple stolen guns traded for drugs in Volusia County, the sheriff’s office said.

The suspects were identified Thursday as 18-year-old Alexzander Robles and a 17-year-old who News 6 is not naming.

Robles faces charges of burglary of an unoccupied conveyance, burglary while armed, petit theft, and grand theft of a firearm, records show. The sheriff’s office said on social media that each of the suspects has been charged in seven cases within the agency’s jurisdiction and that even more charges from several area police departments are still on the table.

Firearms stolen from three vehicles were traded for narcotics in Daytona Beach, according to the post. Detectives otherwise recovered two possible stolen firearms, magazines, ammunition, a ski mask, and other evidence while searching Roble’s bedroom, the post states.
