NASSAU COUNTY, Fla. – A person was critically injured after a shark bite in Nassau County n Friday morning, according to the sheriff’s office.
In a release, deputies said they received a distress call about the attack around 11:15 a.m.

A deputy boarded a boat that the victim was on, and he applied a tourniquet to the victim’s body to stop the bleeding, the release shows.
The sheriff’s office announced that the victim was airlifted to a local hospital in critical condition, though the victim is expected to recover.
No additional information was released, including the location of the attack.
