The organization stated the coyote initially came in “very skinny, full of ticks and quite weak and sick.”

The pup was sent to Eau Gallie Veterinary Hospital to receive treatment for roundworm and malnourishment and is now doing much better, according to rescue officials.

The coyote is still in the care of WILD Florida Rescue, where her progress will be closely monitored, and she will remain there until her health is stabilized.

The conservation organization reported that if the next stage of care goes well, she will join three other coyote pups around her age for several months in another sector of its care center. After that, they will be released on a very large acreage of private land, according to WILD Florida Rescue.
