Another lawsuit filed in shooting that wounded 10 at Sanford event venue

Jaron Robinson accuses venue of negligence

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. – Another lawsuit has been filed following a shooting at a Seminole County event venue in which 10 people, including an NFL player, were injured.

The shooting happened in April at Cabana Live near Sanford.

The suspect, 16-year-old Christopher Bouie, could be seen on surveillance video being tackled and disarmed by security.

In the newly-filed lawsuit, Jaron Robinson — one of the victims in the shooting — accuses the venue of negligence. His attorney claims Cabana Live should have known of similar crimes that happened either there or nearby and that extra security measures were needed.

So far, Bouie is the only person facing charges in the shooting.

Investigators have identified a second shooter, but the state attorney’s office is reviewing the case to determine if they should be charged.
