VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. – UPDATE: Mike Doffing, 68, has been recovered safe and is back with his family, according to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office.
ORIGINAL STORY: Deputies are searching for a 68-year-old man who was last seen June 28 as he left the Volusia County Branch Jail on foot.
Mike Doffing may be in the Daytona Beach or Daytona Beach Shoes area, the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office said on social media.
Doffing’s conduct may not always appear rational due to a mental health condition, the post states, adding family members would like him brought home safely.
Anyone who sees Doffing or has knowledge of his whereabouts is urged to contact the sheriff’s office by dialing 911.
