LEESBURG, Fla. – The body of a 67-year-old man was found Monday in a Leesburg lake, according to the police department.

Officers received reports of a body floating in Lake Harris around 7:15 p.m., according to a news release.

Officials said Wednesday that the victim had been identified as Lucious W. Austin, 67, who was pronounced dead at the scene. A preliminary investigation from the medical examiner’s office suggested nothing suspicious at that time, though a full report had yet to be released, the police department said.

Leesburg detectives and CSI responded to the scene earlier in the investigation.

Officials are asking for anyone who has any information in this case to contact the Leesburg Police Department at 352-787-2121 or call Crimeline at 800-423-8477 to be eligible for a reward.
