3-year-old boy with autism found dead at resort, Orange County deputies say

ORLANDO, Fla. – A 3-year-old boy with autism was found dead Thursday after wandering away from a resort, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

Rakim Akbari wandered from a resort in the 8800 block of Palm Village Circle, near State Road 535 and World Center Drive.

The sheriff’s office said the boy’s body was found in a body of water at the resort where he was reported missing.

The sheriff’s office said his death was ruled an accident by drowning.
