Start the school year off right with the Florida Kids and Family Expo

2-day event showcasing resources in Central Florida will be Aug. 17-18

ORLANDO, Fla. – Spend a fun-filled day with your family and end the summer on a good note at the Florida Kids and Family Expo next month.

This annual event is a two-day Orlando expo that takes place at the Orange County Convention Center every August. This year’s event will be in Hall C of the West Concourse of the convention center on Aug. 17-18, from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Sunday.

There will be over 200 exhibitors offering information, products and services relating to education, entertainment, sports, health, finances and more to help parents know what resources are available to them and their children, according to the event’s news release.

“As two moms ourselves, we never knew what options and opportunities were available in Central Florida, so we went to work to do the legwork for YOU,” said the event organizers on the website. “Now, under one roof and in one day, you can have hundreds of new ideas and resources at your fingertips, hopefully making your job as a parent just a little bit easier.”

Orange County Public Schools and Seminole County Public Schools have partnered with the Florida Kids and Family Expo to help enhance its ability to connect families with important resources throughout Central Florida to get the most out of education. This event is additionally sponsored by Orlando Health.

While parents, caregivers and students have the chance to see the variety of different services that Central Florida offers, they can also enjoy a variety of family-friendly activities.

There will be numerous fun zones and engaging activities to check out, including petting zoos, character meet and greets, live performances, face painting, bounce houses, attractions and much more.

Tickets are required to attend the expo. The cost to purchase a one-day pass is $10, with a weekend bundle being $15. Parking fees at the convention center are additionally discounted to $10 with the purchase of an expo ticket.

Children will also receive one free kids’ meal at the Chick-fil-A of Universal Boulevard, located at 9500 McKenna Drive, anytime on Aug. 17 from 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. with the presentation of their ticket.
