Marion County deputies search for missing woman last seen heading into woods

MARION COUNTY, Fla. – The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a woman who went missing after leaving her home.

Rosemary Emmerling, 29, left her home around 2 a.m. Sunday in Ocklawaha and went into the woods.

“Rosemary has several mental health disorders, and it was believed she may have been in a manic state when she left. It is believed she is without her medications and that has caused concern for her safety,” the sheriff’s office said.

She was last seen wearing a red hoodie, long pants and sandals. She was also carrying a white and blue bag. Half of her head is shaved and the other half is dyed pink. She is 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighs about 127 pounds.
