ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando City dominated in its matchup against CF Montréal during the two teams’ matchup on Friday night, putting the scoreboard at 4-1.

Just seven minutes after kickoff, City Defender Dagur Dan Þórhallsson scored the team’s first goal of the night, and it was followed up soon after with another goal by Midfielder Facundo Torres.

But before the game could go into the late stage, City Striker Ramiro Enrique eked out one more point just ahead of halftime, ending the first half 3-0.

While early on in the second half was uneventful, Orlando’s Midfielder Martin Ojeda scored yet another goal on Montréal at the 57-minute mark.

And while Montréal struggled hard — finally earning a goal around 10 minutes later courtesy of Josef Martinez — it wasn’t enough to turn the tables.

Now, the City is preparing for its next League Cup match against San Luis. That game is scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 4 at 8 p.m.
