ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A man was arrested in connection with an attack in a parking garage on the grounds of the UCF Downtown campus in Orlando, police announced Tuesday.
According to a UCF Police Department release, police said the attack happened Sunday evening at UCF Downtown.
At the time, a man, later identified as Lamarcus Bernard Robinson Jr., and the woman had been riding a Lynx bus, but the man followed her into the Amelia Street Garage after she got off, police added.
He then grabbed her wrist and pulled her into a stairwell, the release shows.

On Monday night, police arrested Robinson Jr., who faces charges of sexual battery and false imprisonment. The agency said the survivor provided a detailed description of Robinson, which helped them identify him quickly using databases and assistance from Orlando Police Department.
Police urge anyone who sees something suspicious on campus to immediately report the incident to police by calling (407) 823-5555 — or 911 for an active emergency.
