Missing 14-year-old boy found safe, Altamonte Springs police say

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. – UPDATE: A 14-year-old boy who had been reported missing out of Altamonte Springs has been found safe, police said on Wednesday.

Details about this recovery have not been released.

ORIGINAL STORY: A statewide alert has been issued for a 14-year-old boy missing out of Seminole County, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

Ahmir Collier has been missing since Tuesday and was last seen in the area of the 800 block of Meiner Boulevard in Altamonte Springs, an FDLE flyer states.

Collier is 6 feet, 1 inch tall and 180 pounds, last seen wearing a white shirt, a white hooded sweatshirt and black basketball shorts, according to FDLE. He may also be wearing glasses, authorities said.

Anyone who sees Collier or has information on his whereabouts is asked to contact FDLE or the Altamonte Springs Police Department at 407-339-2441 or 911.
