ORLANDO, Fla. – In 2025, Both Disney heroes and villains will be playing host on the high seas.
Joining the fleet of Triton-class ships, the Disney Destiny is a celebration of heroes and villains from Disney, Pixar, Marvel and the Disney Parks.
Venues and adventures will complement the extraordinary entertainment and world-class dining.
“A Disney cruise is like three vacations in one. You’re getting the magic that a Disney vacation has, but you’re also at sea. So, you’re getting a cruise vacation, and then you’re traveling to a totally new destination,” said Beth Burkhardt, creative director for the Disney Destiny.
Lodging
According to the Disney Parks blog, the Disney Destiny will offer spacious, comfortable, and functional staterooms that uniquely meet the needs of your family. Most staterooms will feature Disney Cruise Line’s signature split-bath concept, allowing more than one person to get ready at a time, and many rooms will offer the option of a connecting door to accommodate larger families.
Marvel at sea
Nothing gives off a grand first impression like a hero, and the Destiny features several of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, like Doctor Strange, Iron Man and Spider-Man.
When passengers first board the ship, they will come across a vibrant palette of Marvel Studios’ “Black Panther” films as well as a statue of T’Challa in the Grand Hall.
In Disney’s Oceaneer Club, kids ages 3 to 10 will become the heroes of their own epic Disney adventures at Marvel Superhero Academy, a high-tech Avengers headquarters where young “recruits” are trained to be the next generation of Superheroes alongside some of their favorite Avengers.
Family fun
But that’s not all. There is no shortage of entertainment options on the Disney Destiny.
The upper deck is a destination in itself. Three distinctly themed districts will offer fun water features, casual dining options and plenty of space to relax to soak up the sun.
Seven pools are staggered among tiered decks plus an imaginative take on fast-casual fare with a festive character twist and the AquaMouse.
On the stage, catch a Broadway-style production of “Frozen, A Musical Spectacular” and “Disney Seas the Adventure” in the Walt Disney Theatre.
When night falls, dance the night away at Pirate’s Rockin’ Parlay Party featuring a live rock band and Disney Cruise Line’s famous fireworks at sea.
Dining
For the adult-exclusive spaces, a piano lounge — inspired by the one-and-only Cruella De Vil — will give off wickedly good vibes.
Inspired by Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “One Hundred and One Dalmatians” — and the acclaimed 2021 live-action film — the bar lounge will have a Hollywood Regency-inspired aesthetic, with an ambiance based on the Disney villain’s signature color palette of red, black and white.
As for family dining, a first-of-its-kind dinner and show will be straight out of the African savanna.
Pride Lands: Feast of The Lion King will have unique depictions of animals and nature brought to life through lighting and special effects. The back wall will be lined with large windows that transform from stunning sunrises to enchanting sunsets throughout the meal, while the center of the restaurant will have tiered risers that mimic the look of African drums.
There are plenty of sweets sailing on the Disney Destiny courtesy of Edna Mode, the famed fashion designer from Pixar’s “The Incredibles” films.
Her lab will transform into a unique confectionary at the brand-new Edna Á La Mode Sweets.
According to the Cruise Lines International Association, 82% of people intend to cruise this year, a nearly 25% increase over last year, which is pushing bookings for 2025 ahead of historical levels.
Disney Destiny will be the third ship of the new Triton Class, joining the Disney Wish and the Disney Treasure, which is set to debut in December.
Disney Destiny’s maiden voyage is set for Dec. 11, 2025, out of Port Everglades.
