2 dead in Marion County shooting, deputies say

Shooting happened in the 14200 block of SE 30th Terrac, in Summerfield

MARION COUNTY, Fla. – Two people are dead after a shooting on Saturday evening, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said they responded to the shooting in the 14200 block of SE 30th Terrace in Summerfield around 7:48 p.m.

According to a news release, “two individuals were deceased from gun shot wounds.” No other details were released.

Deputies said that both victims have been identified, but out of respect for the families, the names will not be released until next of kin have been identified.

According to the release, the shooting appears to be an isolated incident.

MCSO Major Crimes detectives are on the scene conducting the death investigations.
