It’s a ‘Summer of Soul’ at this downtown Orlando venue

‘Soul Pop: Summer of Soul’ concert going on Aug. 9-25 at Fringe ArtSpace

ORLANDO, Fla. – This is not your ordinary pop concert, organizers call it an experience that will transport you to a world of endless summer. On their website, they call it a “musical journey into another realm filled with a little pop, a little love and a whole lot of SOUL!”

Before the show at Fringe ArtSpace, there’s food, vendors, art and more. Then, the audience can expect to sing, dance, and party during the “Soul Pop” concert.

Each week, the show has a different special guest artist. You can catch Charlyce Simmons Aug. 9-12, Raven Iman Aug. 16-18, and Trumaine Lamar Aug. 23-25.

The concert features a mix of pop, soul, and acoustic with music from top artists like Whitney Houston, Justin Timberlake ,Taylor Swift, Michael Jackson, Bruno Mars, and Earth Wind & Fire.

The show from Sonflower Joy Music is part of Orlando Fringe’s “The Collective.” It’s a program designed to grow artistic companies and organizations.

Companies get the opportunity to participate in workshops, create productions, and then be featured in Fringe ArtSpace’s season. The program includes using the space at the theatre, tech support, and mentorship.

“Soul Pop” is recommended for all ages and there is audience interaction. The entire experience takes a total of three hours.
