Lake Mary All-Stars fans watch first World Series loss at viewing party

LAKE MARY, Fla. – Fans filled Friend Confines once again to support the Lake Mary All-Stars as they faced off against Texas from the Southwest region in the Little League World Series.

The All-Stars, who lost their first game of the series, drew strong reactions from some of their youngest fans as they watched their team suffer defeat.

“A lot of stress. I was like, ‘They can win this.’ A thousand thoughts going through my head,” said 8-year-old Quinn.

“I thought they were going to win, but then at the end, they can, like, try again next time,” said 8-year-old Adilyn.

Despite the loss, the series is double elimination, and many fans remain confident that the All-Stars can bounce back and stay in the series.

“It’s a game of wins and losses. They lost this one. They went up against a really good pitcher. You can’t take anything away from Texas, but we will come back resilient. These kids, they’ve been through this. They will come back tomorrow night,” said Brent Fieser, vice president of Lake Mary Softball. “We are behind you no matter what. Win, lose, it doesn’t matter. This is awesome. We are all out here with our family and friends.”
