PALM BAY, Fla. – Reports of a “suspicious incident” prompted a large law enforcement presence on Malabar Road in Palm Bay, according to the police department.
The Palm Bay Police Department said it received reports of an incident and of a subject being armed after 9 a.m. at the Harbor Freight, located at 1155 Malabar Road.

“Due to initial reports of a subject being armed, there was a large police presence. We were able to locate the subject, who was not armed. Additionally, we were able to confirm there was no hostage or additional person(s) involved,” the department wrote on Facebook.
People were asked to avoid the area but it eventually cleared.
