The other driver was not injured, but Yochem ended up hospitalized after getting thrown out of her car. She ended up fractured ribs and other severe injuries.

In a heartwarming TikTok video, Yochem shared her story and pleaded with followers to help her locate the firefighters who rushed to her aid.

The first responders were from Orange County Fire Rescue 66. On Thursday, Yochem had a chance to meet them, after months of recovery, surgeries, and rehabilitation.

In the emotional reunion, Yochem thanked the team for saving her life, calling them heroes.

“There’s no words. To say the amazing, incredible things that you did to get me to the hospital and keep me stable and kept me alive,” said Yochem. “I just, I thank you so much for all that you do,”
