Polk County woman wins $1M prize playing Florida Lottery scratch-off game

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – A Polk County woman won a $1 million prize playing the Florida Lottery’s $5 million Triple Match scratch-off game.

Mary Curatolo, of Haines City, claimed her winnings Thursday at the Florida Lottery’s headquarters in Tallahassee as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $664,198, according to a news release.

She purchased her ticket for $20 from a Publix located at 617 US Highway 17-92 in Haines City, the release states. The store received a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket.

Curatolo beat Triple Match’s 1-in-1.68 odds of winning the $1 million prize. The overall odds of winning the top $5 million prize are 1-in-3.78, according to the Florida Lottery website.
