POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A Polk County man was shot and killed by one of his neighbors on Tuesday morning, according to a news release.
Deputies said they arrived at a residence on Fleming Avenue in Lakeland around 10:07 a.m. after reports of gunshots.

According to the release, a man – identified as 32-year-old Alfredo “Freddie” Alfaro-Astello – was found dead in the front yard.
Witnesses told investigators that a man – later identified as 38-year old Clinton “CJ” Robinson, Jr. – approached the victim before multiple gunshots rang out. They also stated they saw smoke coming from a gun being held by Robinson and heard him say “How do you like me now?” as he walked away from the victim.

Deputies said the two men are neighbors, and witnesses noted that there have been previous arguments between the two men.
“Detectives are still trying to determine what specifically lead this morning’s deadly interaction, and believe there may be more witnesses,” Sheriff Grady Judd.

According to the release, Robinson faces murder charges, but did not specify further.
