St. CLOUD, Fla. – Two people reportedly stabbed a man early Wednesday outside of his home in St. Cloud, according to police.
Officers, firefighters and medical personnel responded around 6 a.m. to a stabbing reported out of the Settlers Trail community, arriving to find the victim sitting in a chair at the entrance to the residence and the floor around him covered in his blood.
Having suffered multiple stab wounds to his upper and lower back, as well as to his shoulder, the victim told first responders that he had just exited his car to dispose of a plastic cup when he was approached by his attackers while he walked toward trash cans along the east side of the home.
The two suspects — whom the victim described as Black males of average build and wearing all-black clothing, as well as ski masks — attacked the man without first calling him by name or demanding anything, according to a police report.
On the 911 call, the victim can be heard describing his pain, repeatedly telling someone else with him, “I love you, baby,” and stating that the attackers were trying to cut his neck open.
“We got to sell the house and move. Someone tried to kill me,” he said.
