OCALA, Fla. – A vehicle pursuit in Ocala which ended at a diner on Sunday led to officers firing their weapons, yet the driver was not struck, according to police.
The pursuit began in the 1800 block of NE 14th Street and ended about 3 miles away at Darrell’s Diner along East Silver Springs Boulevard, the Ocala Police Department said on social media.
Once in the diner’s parking lot, the alleged actions of the driver and vehicle prompted two officers to fire their service weapons, the post states.
The driver was not shot, but they were hospitalized for treatment of minor injuries, police said.
No other details were shared or confirmed at the time of this report.
