1 dead in Orange County trailer fire

Fire happened on Lake Standish Boulevard

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – One person died Thursday night in a trailer fire in Orange County, according to fire rescue.

The fire happened on Lake Standish Boulevard, west of Apopka.

Orange County Fire Rescue said two people called 911 to report the fire, which was spreading to nearby trees and to the property of one the callers.

When firefighters arrived, they located and removed “several propane bottles from the structure, which likely contributed to the sounds of explosions,” a release said.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office described the person who died as a man in his 50s.

The state fire marshal is investigating the fire and the sheriff’s office is investigating the death.

No other information has been released.
