FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. – New body-worn camera video from the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office shows the arrest of a man accused of pushing a deputy on Saturday.
Jonah Harrington, 34, of Palm Coast, was identified as the father of a juvenile who was in a group of seven kids — all younger than 16 — allegedly riding bikes inside of a Walmart while cursing and yelling at people that day, as well as setting off car alarms, the sheriff’s office said in a news release.
After deputies caught up to the juveniles, who the sheriff’s office said were found riding bikes near Cypress Edge Drive, they were trespassed as their parents were notified to come and get them, the release states.
When Harrington arrived to the scene, he’s accused of having “ran up to a deputy and pushed him,” according to the sheriff’s office.
Body-worn camera video from two deputies shows Harrington being taken down and handcuffed, during which he was further accused trying to run away, hitting a second deputy’s hand and pushing a third deputy’s arms away, the release states.
Harrington faces charges of resisting an officer with violence and three counts of battery on a law enforcement officer.
He was booked around 8:30 p.m. Saturday and posted $30,000 bond to be released the following afternoon, records show.
