Thanks to a powerful G5 geomagnetic storm, the Northern Lights managed to bloom over Florida on Thursday night.
Unlike other areas of the country, the Aurora Borealis in Florida has a reddish tint to it and appears very low on the horizon.

Following the recent Hurricane Milton, cloud cover also managed to obscure much of the Northern Lights near Florida, though other locations farther southwest — such as Minneola, Clermont and Kissimmee — had a much better chance of catching a glimpse.
