Driving hazards to watch out for after a major storm

ORLANDO, Fla. – While it’s important to take precautions if driving during dangerous weather, the same can be said if you’re driving after a major storm that has caused widespread damage.

On Friday, just hours after Hurricane Milton blew across Orlando, Trooper Steve on Patrol took the time to discuss the hazards drivers have encountered on the roads.

Drivers must treat non-working traffic lights as a four-way stop and if possible, avoid flooded roadways. If you come across floodwaters, decrease speeds.

Sometimes, a simple reminder is what is needed to stay safe.
