ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A missing 7-year-old boy last seen Monday was found dead in Orange County, according to sheriff’s officials.
Emerson Felix was last seen by his family around 6:45 p.m. on Monday in the area of Flintshire Street, near Rio Grande Avenue and 40th Street.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office said he was found dead in a body of water near where he was reported missing.
“We mourn Emerson’s loss and extend our heartfelt condolences and prayers to his family, his classmates and all who love him,”
The medical examiner’s office said the boy’s death was an accident caused by drowning.
An investigation is ongoing.
