KISSIMMEE, Fla. – An Orlando woman was arrested following a hit-and-run crash on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

In an arrest report, troopers said the crash happened around 4:20 p.m. near a home along Neptune Road in Kissimmee.

Upon arrival, a trooper found a white Ford Explorer with “front-end damage” outside of the house, the report shows. The homeowner and his daughter were able to provide footage of what happened.

“While watching the camera footage, I was able to see the driver of the vehicle and a total of four passengers exit the vehicle,” the report reads. “The driver exited the vehicle on the driver side, and the passengers were able to exit the vehicle through the sunroof.”

The driver — later identified as Tharyana Guzman, 28 — then walked away from the scene without exchanging required documents with the homeowner, troopers explained.

According to investigators, Guzman was later found south of the crash site and taken into custody. Troopers said they learned that her driver’s license had been suspended.

In addition, troopers said they spoke with the four passengers who were involved to check for injuries before speaking with Guzman.

“I asked her to elaborate on what occurred during the time of the crash and what caused the crash today,” the report states. “She advised she was never inside of the vehicle and that she plead (sic) the Fifth. I then advised Tharyana that she was on camera inside of the driver seat during the time of the crash.”

Despite that, Guzman still denied being in the vehicle at the time of the crash, troopers said. The report says she suffered a swollen eye that could have been from the driver’s side airbag being deployed.

After the interview, the trooper tried to discuss crash documents with Guzman, though “she did not want to listen to anything I had to say,” according to the report.

As a result, Guzman was arrested and now faces a charge of leaving the scene of a crash with property damage. She is held on a bond of $1,000.
