Osceola County man wins $1M prize playing 500X the Cash scratch-off game

TALLAHASEE, Fla. – An Osceola County man won a $1 million prize playing the Florida Lottery’s 500X the Cash scratch-off game.

Larry Hamilton, of Kissimmee, claimed his winnings Wednesday at the Florida Lottery’s headquarters in Tallahassee as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $640,000, according to a news release.

The ticket was purchased for $50 at a KK Food Mart at 4275 New Tampa Highway in Lakeland, the release continues.

The store received a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket.

According to the Florida Lottery’s website, Hamilton had a 1-in-4.23 chance in winning the top prize of $25 million.

500X the Cash features over 10 million winning tickets and offers over $1.66 billion in total cash prizes the release states.
