ORLANDO, Fla. – Halloweekend is here! It’s finally time to debut that costume you’ve been planning and get in the ghostly spirit.

Whether you’re looking for a fright, a sweet treat or a fun family activity, the weekend before Halloween is filled with ghoulish events to explore.

Kick off the Halloween festivities with these Central Florida events.

Brevard County

Downtown Melbourne Trick-or-Treat

When: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Oct. 26

Where: 820 E. New Haven Ave., Melbourne

What: Families are invited to dress up in costumes and trick-or-treat from business to business in Downtown Melbourne. Participating businesses will have a “Treat Stop” poster at their door.

Lake County

Halloween with a View

When: 6 p.m. to 12 a.m., Oct. 25

Where: 805 Oakley Seaver Drive, Clermont

What: Enjoy a night of golf cart trunk-or-treating, a cash prize costume contest, cocktails, live music, a DJ and more.

40th Annual Mount Dora Craft Fair

When: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Oct. 26-27

Where: 700 N. Baker St., Mount Dora

What: Immerse yourself in the creations of local artists, live music, wine tasting and festival food.

Orange County

Curry Ford Candy Crawl

When: 6-8 p.m., Oct. 25

Where: 1400 Gaston Foster Road, Orlando

What: Trick-or-treat indoors with the luxury of air conditioning, play games, listen to music and explore vendors and food trucks at the Dover Shores Community Center.

Apopka Halloween in the Park

When: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Oct. 26

Where: 10 S. Forest Ave., Apopka

What: Kids 12 and under can trick-or-treat around the park at vendor booths, get their face painted, enter a costume contest and play in a bounce house.

2nd Annual Spooktacular 2024

When: 12-4 p.m., Oct. 26

Where: 4863 N. Goldenrod Road, Winter Park

What: Celebrate Halloween with Orange County Commissioner Emily Bonilla. The thrilling event will feature a haunted house sponsored by Disney, food trucks, treats, a DJ, games and many Instagram-worthy selfie stations.

Eolaween

When: 4-9:30 p.m., Oct. 26

Where: 400 S. Orange Ave., Orlando

What: Watch “Hocus Pocus” in the park and enjoy games, a DJ, a craft station, a dog costume contest and trick-or-treating. The festivities begin at 4 p.m. and the movie will start at 7:30 p.m.

The Night Market with Zombietoberfest

When: 5-10 p.m., Oct. 26

Where: 3201 Corrine Drive #216, Orlando

What: Shop til you drop undead at Audubon Park Garden Districts’ Zombietoberfest. The event will feature a makers market, crafts for kids, live music, costume contests and a showing of “Gremlins” at 8:30 p.m.

Maitland Falloween

When: 5:30-9 p.m., Oct. 26

Where: 1776 Independence Lane, Maitland

What: Win prizes in carnival games, enter your furry friend in a pet costume contest and enjoy music, a balloon artist, food and more at Independence Square in Maitland.

Orlando Science Center After Dark

When: 8-11 p.m., Oct. 26

Where: 777 E. Princeton St., Orlando

What: Tap into your inner mad scientist and experience the Science Center like never before at this adults only event that will feature an open bar, light bites, karaoke, costumes and more. General admission tickets cost $50.

Barktoberfest

When: 12-4 p.m., Oct. 27

Where: 217 N. Eola Drive, Orlando

What: Support local pet rescues, explore pet-related vendors and adopt a furry friend as Lake Eola Park turns into a dog park for the day.

Osceola County

Boo on Broadway

When: 6-9 p.m., Oct. 25

Where: 421 Broadway Ave., Kissimmee

What: Bring the entire family to trick-or-treat down Broadway with live entertainment, local vendors and costume contests.

Promenade 5th Annual “Trunk or Treat” and Car Show

When: 4-8 p.m., Oct. 26

Where: 3251 Margaritaville Blvd., Kissimmee

What: Show off your best costume and your car’s best costume with trunk-or-treating and a car show. The top three Halloween themed cars will receive trophies.

Seminole County

AnimeWeen: Halloween & Anime Invasion

When: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Oct. 26

Where: 1700 Oviedo Mall Blvd., Oviedo

What: Cosplay your favorite anime character, compete in a lip sync battle, play games and shop at local vendors. Winners of the cosplay contest can win a cash prize.

Oktoberfest Celebration

When: 12-10 p.m., Oct. 26

Where: 381 Orange Lane, Casselberry

What: Instantly transport yourself from Florida to Germany with German food, beer, dancing, live music, a traditional flag parade and a full service bar. Tickets cost $5. Children under 11 enter for free.

Spooky Star Party

When: 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., Oct. 26

Where: 100 Weldon Blvd., Sanford

What: Visit the Seminole State College Planetarium for an out of this world experience. Enjoy Halloween crafts, fill up on candy, watch science demos and observe the stars with Central Florida Astronomical Society and UCF Astronomy Society.

Volusia County

Fall Festival

When: 4-8 p.m., Oct. 26

Where: 1800 Turnbull Bay Road, New Smyrna Beach

What: Get lost in a corn maze, enjoy a pumpkin ride and test your carnival game skills at New Smyrna’s Fall Festival.
