BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – SpaceX announced the latest launch attempt of its Falcon 9 rocket from Florida’s Space Coast — a launch that is expected to break records.

In a release, SpaceX officials said that the launch is set to bring 22 Starlink satellites into orbit from the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.

Liftoff is targeting 5:47 p.m., though backup opportunities will be available until 9:47 p.m.

In addition, SpaceX said that more launch opportunities will be available on Sunday starting at 5:24 p.m.

If the launch is successful, it will be the 73rd annual rocket launch taking place at the Space Coast, which would set a new overall record.

The 45th Weather Squadron forecasts a 10% chance of weather interfering with Saturday’s launch attempt, and that figure stays the same if the launch gets pushed to Sunday.

This is scheduled to be the 19th flight for the first-stage booster used in this mission, which was previously used to launch OneWeb 1, SES 18+19, Eutelsat HOTBIRD-F1, CRS-24, and 14 other Starlink missions.

Following stage separation, the first stage is set to land on the Just Read the Instructions droneship in the Atlantic Ocean.
