Surveillance video shows person stealing from cars

CITRA, Fla. – The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is asking neighbors in Citra to help identify a person accused of stealing from cars, at one point even making away with a gun, according to the agency’s social media.

Surveillance video shared Tuesday by the sheriff’s office shows the individual, described in the post as a male, who’s been walking around barefoot and stealing from cars near NE 162nd Place.

It’s likely that the person lives in the area, the sheriff’s office added, yet no other details about the individual were immediately available.

The post calls for anyone who may know the person to turn him in, asking those with information about his identity to call the sheriff’s office at 352-732-9111, or Crime Stoppers of Marion County at 352-368-7867 in reference to “24-37″ to remain anonymous.
