OCOEE, Fla. – Months after a 19-year-old man was stabbed to death in Ocoee, his girlfriend at the time has since been arrested in Texas and accused of murder, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
Tadarius Marquise Massey, 19, died on Aug. 14, the sheriff’s office said in a statement. Deputies responding around 12:32 p.m. that day to Health Central Hospital along West Colonial Drive wouldn’t arrive until after Massey was pronounced dead, the statement read.
The scene of the stabbing itself was far on the other side on Colonial Drive, in the 1700 block of Florence Vista Boulevard, the sheriff’s office said. It was unclear at the time whether Massey’s death was a homicide or involved self-defense, according to the statement.

Zoe Nicole Cooper, 18, was described in the statement as Massey’s girlfriend. Cooper was arrested Friday in the Houston, Texas area and faces a charge of second-degree murder in Massey’s death, which detectives had since determined was a murder, the sheriff’s office said.
Details on Cooper’s pending extradition to Orange County were not available at the time of this report.
