ORMOND BEACH, Fla. – A Missing Child Alert issued Sunday for a 4-year-old boy out of Ormond Beach included instructions to “CHECK WATER.”
Waylon Childs was last seen in the area of the 600 block of Fleming Avenue, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
Childs was last seen wearing a maroon shirt, maroon sweatpants and gray shoes, the FDLE flyer states. He’s described as 3 feet tall and 30 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair.
Anyone who sees Childs or has information on his whereabouts is urged to contact FDLE, or the Ormond Beach Police Department at 386-677-0731 or 911.
In a statement, the police department said it was using Air One and bloodhounds from Tomoka Correctional to aid in the search near Central Park.
Ormond Beach police have asked that the pubic do not respond to Central Park because “additional foot traffic is impacting our search efforts and could interfere with the scene.”
