DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Photos shared to social media by the Daytona Beach Fire Department show what remains of a garage that caught fire Tuesday morning due to “cooking materials.”
Firefighters responded around 8:23 a.m. to 124 Emmett Street, where crews located heavy fire and smoke coming from the detached garage upon their arrival, the post states.
The fire had also damaged a nearby vehicle, according to the post. The blaze was soon extinguished with no injuries reported to firefighters or the home’s occupants, who had reportedly evacuated prior to crews’ arrival, firefighters said.
The State Fire Marshal’s investigation suggests the fire was caused by “cooking materials,” according to the post.
